Hoping to deepen your experiences in the English major? Search no further! The Writing Associates Program, the Sigma Tau Delta English Honors Society, and UO Slam Poetry are currently accepting applications.


Sigma Tau Delta logoThe Alpha Tau Phi Chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, an International English Honor Society, accepts membership applications year round. Join a distinguished community of English undergraduate scholars to meet and collaborate both intellectually and socially and gain access to academic and professional opportunities.

Alpha Tau Phi is also seeking applicants to serve on its Executive Committee. Available positions include: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Historian/Public Relations Officer. Officer positions are open to all Alpha Tau Phi members.

Simply send Caroline Fenty (cfenty@uoregon.edu) or Dr. Corbett Upton (cupton@uoregon.edu) an email that states which position or positions you're interested in and a short paragraph describing your vision for the chapter next year, as well as any experience you may have that pertains to the position you are seeking (though no experience is required).

University of Oregon Poetry Slam logoUO Poetry Slam is looking for folks to serve on the club’s executive committee. All positions are open!

UO Poetry Slam holds several open mics, workshops, and competitive slams each term to foster community, increase interest in slam poetry, recruit for the team, and raise money to travel to competitions. Be part of an exciting and inclusive community of poets and poetry!
