Around the O IN-PRINT: Professor Courtney Thorsson
Courtney Thorsson’s research and teaching areas include African American Literature from its beginnings to the present. Her first book, Women’s Work, argues that African American women’s novels of the 1980s and 1990s reclaim and revise black cultural nationalism. She is currently at work on a new project, Revolutionary Recipes, which examines the ways culinary discourse and the recipe form articulate race, gender, and class in African American literature.
