Cameron Lambright (BA 2003) has just published a new novel, The Young Garden Manifesto (Incandescence Press, 2014). An English major, graduating from Robert D. Clark Honors College, he attended law school in New York, but soon opted to return home to the Pacific Northwest and pursue his calling as a writer. Lambright’s book utilizes an innovative split narrative structure to tell the story of a young man seeking love and a new life for himself in New York City. The novel combines elements of fantasy, poetry, and contemporary fiction, weaving disconnected parts into a genre defying tapestry of thought and emotion. This innovative work is likely to please fans of literary authors such as Haruki Murakami and David Foster Wallace. Lambright grew up in Eugene, attending Spencer Butte Middle School and South Eugene High School.
