Meet Our English Alumni: Nathan Harris
Nathan Harris, newly beloved author of the publishing world, was unavaliable to chat with me due to his (I’m sure) hectic life as a bestselling author.
However, he has talked with UO students in the past and I’ll make sure to link those stories at the bottom of this note. And I think it’s important to include him in this “Why English?” series as one of the most visible and fantastical examples of what you can do with an English Degree from UO.
The Sweetness of Water is Harris’ debuet novel, a novel that he began working on when he was still a student at UO. He published it with Little, Brown and Company Publishing in New York and the book has gone on to recieve a shower of notable attentions including being chosen for Oprah’s bookclub.
